I started studying physics in 1996 in Karlsruhe. In 1999 I went to the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden for one year.
In the beginning of 2001 I was accepted by Professor Dr. Feindt and joined his Delphi-group to do my Diploma-thesis which was concerned with an inclusive measurement of the b-quark fragmentation function f(z) at LEPI.
In summer 2002, I was accepted by Professor Feindt as a PhD student. I will analyse the transition from quarks to hadrons (also known as fragmentation) with data taken by the CDF-detector situated at the Fermilab, Chicago.
At the moment, I'm concerned with the installation and setup of the software SAM at both the University of Karlsruhe and the CDF machine at the GridKa cluster.
I'm also member of the technical advisary board for the German CDF-Collaboration at the GridKa cluster at the reasearch site Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe
