PreSUSY07 -
Summer School

Before SUSY07 there will be introductory lectures for those who have not been working on all aspects of the exciting physics expected from the LHC and cosmology from

July 23 - July 25, 2007.

    The lectures will cover:

Participation is free of charge. Registration will be available with the SUSY07 registration.

SUSY07 will be hosted by the University of Karlsruhe, Germany from July 26 - August 1, 2007. The conference will be held at Karlsruhe, 100 km south of Frankfort in Germany.

Since their inception in 1993, the SUSY conferences have become the largest annual international meetings devoted to new ideas in particle physics. Supersymmetry (SUSY) has become the prime paradigm for physics beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics (SM), since the clear establishment of a large fraction of Dark Matter (DM) in our universe cannot be explained by the Standard Model. SUSY provides an excellent candidate for this elusive Dark Matter. In addition it allows for unification of all interactions and radiative electroweak symmetry breaking, which yield clear predictions for the Higgs bosons, the other missing ingredient of the SM. The prize to be paid for this exciting symmetry is a doubling of the particle spectrum, which could manifest itself in non-collider and collider experiments and in direct and indirect DM detection experiments. In addition, alternatives, extra dimensions and string theory will be major topics at the conference.

SUSY07 takes place just before the start of the Large Hadron Collider, widely anticipated to yield evidence for SUSY and the Higgs bosons. With roughly 200 plenary and parallel presentations, SUSY07 will provide a focus for the growing excitement in high energy physics, as theorists and experimentalists discuss new results and plan for the future.
