Visit Europe!

For those of you who have never been to Europe or wish to spent some time here SUSY07 might be a good opportunity to combine your stay in Germany with an extended trip through Europe.
Located close to France, Luxemburg and Belgium Karlsruhe is an excellent starting point for holidays in Europe. Many interesting locations in can be easily reached by car or train, in addition Karlsruhe is in close proximity to two airports served by cheap airlines: Baden-Airport and Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. A list of flight destinations (not complete) can be found below.

For students interested in combining SUSY07 with an extended trip through Europe we can offer affordable accommodation from 01.07.07 to 31.07.07.

If you are visiting Germany with a Schengen-Visum (text in you visum says gültig für "Schengener Staaten" ) you can enter all Schengen-States without additional visa. Schengen States are Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Finnland, Sweden, Norwegia and Iceland.

Schengen-States(dark Blue): Germany, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Austria, Denmark, Finnland, Sweden, Norwegia and Iceland. If you plan to visit non-Schengen-States (e.g. England) as a non-EU-member you have to check the visa requirements for this specific state.

Accommodation

Karlsruhe University does not own dormitories on its own, however there are plenty of dormitories run by student organizations, churches or private institutions.
We reserved a small number of rooms in HaDiKo (Hans-Dickmann-Kolleg) a student owned and student run dormitory close to campus. The rooms are available from 01.07.07 to 31.07.07, i.e. residents have to move out early on 01.08.07, the last day of the conference.
Prices are from 170EUR-240EUR a month, however rooms (and thus the actual rent) are assigned by the dormitory management.
All rooms are single rooms with shared bathroom, the rent does not include meals (HaDiKo does not run its own cafeteria).

Interested?

If you wish to sign up for a room in HaDiKo please contact the conference secretary.
This offer is open to students only.
Deadline: Thursday, May 30th 2007
